Located in Lutz, Florida, just outside Tampa's city limits, Hancock Printing Equipment was founded by Gene Hancock in 1970, and incorporated as Hancock Printing Equipment, Inc. in 1976. Ten years later the company had expanded into it's present headquarters and warehouse facility on North Nebraska Avenue (US Hwy. 41) which is situated at the center of the Tampa Bay Area, a few minutes east of Tampa International Airport.

Mr. Hancock, with years of printing experience, believed that Tampa area printers needed a dependable source for good used equipment that could increase their production at affordable cost. That idea has developed into a thriving business with 15 corporate personnel and an international network of dealers and sales agents.

Growing sales volume, presented logistic challenges which encouraged Mr. Hancock to create one of the most capable machinery rigging and transportation organizations in the South. Whether it's a single machine or a whole printing plant that needs to be moved, acroos the street or across the country, Hancock has experienced professional operators and the right equipment and tools to get the job done right.

Hancock's customers are also supported by a parts department which provides parts and accessories from major manufacturers (OEM) and after market suppliers.
